The Pattern Shop Supervisor is responsible for leading our Pattern Shop areas, including supervision of hourly union workforce. In support of our Pattern Shop and CNC operations and the manufacturing of our products the CNC supervisor will have extensive knowledge and experience in a variety of CNC machines and controls.
Requirements:How You Will Help:
- Prepare and monitor daily and weekly shift work plans and staffing in conjunction with Production Control; monitor and assure proper staffing of trained personnel in all key operational areas of the Machine Shop.
- Provide direct supervision as well as motivational and training support to all hourly Union employees. Performs in a leadership role in implementing the policies and goals for Department production, quality, efficiency and safety.
- In coordination with Production Control, Quality Control and Purchasing, achieve production schedule goals. Work with Maintenance and Human Resources personnel to achieve maximum production and staffing “up-time” consistent with trained manpower and operating equipment availability
- Participate in quality and safety reviews and audits to maintain and improve the ISO-9002 implementation of work procedures and policies. Advise the Manager of challenges, problems, improvements, ideas and opportunities that are fostered by hourly workers.
What You Will Have:
- Associates degree or professional training experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of actual machine shop experience. Experience must be in high-volume, foundry or machined cast products operation. Must have a demonstrable and proven track record of bottom-line profitability impact, productivity/quality improvement and be skilled at Union workforce supervision.
- Minimum of 5 years of personal hands-on experience with CNC, multiple spindle and turning equipment
- Skills in MS Word and Excel are required.
