Job Responsibilities
- Performs painting tasks as assigned for the residential community, including removal of existing paint, preparation of surfaces to be painted, application of a variety of surface materials, and maintenance of painted areas for both indoor and outdoor projects.
- Use of power cleaning equipment, chemicals, scrapes, sandpaper, and sanding machines
- Applies patches, plaster, and sheetrock by using filler, tape, spackling compound, patching plasters, and other relevant products as needed
- Prepares and installs vinyl wall coverings
- Paints walls, ceilings, and other interior accessories as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in painting trade and/or building maintenance, but two years' experience preferred
- Quality of work is accurate, thorough, and neat
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of painting and wall covering trade
- Basic shop-level math and comprehensive understanding of English; must be able to read, write and communicate in English
