Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children and Youth Ministry Director to lead and nurture the spiritual growth of our young congregation members. This role involves developing engaging programs, fostering a welcoming environment, and providing mentorship to children and youth. This is a paid position designed to support the spiritual development of our community’s youth through innovative activities and compassionate guidance.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate religious education and spiritual programs for children and youth.
- Lead weekly Sunday school classes, and special events tailored for various age groups.
- Provide mentorship, mentoring, and counseling to children and youth.
- Coordinate volunteers and teachers to ensure safe, engaging, and meaningful activities.
- Plan and organize community outreach events, retreats, and camps.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social development, moral growth, and faith-based learning.
- Collaborate with church leadership to align programs with overall church mission and vision.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or youth in religious or community settings.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers and participants.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, volunteers, and church staff.
- Experience in event planning and program development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Christian teachings is desired.
- Ability to mentor young individuals while demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism.
- Background in social work or social services is a plus; experience in teaching or youth mentoring preferred.
