Yard Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated General Yard Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations by managing yard activities, including loading and unloading freight, operating various types of vehicles, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Pay is based on experience.

Duties

• Load and unload materials, equipment, and products manually or with machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
• Organize and maintain yard inventory, ensuring materials are stored properly.
• Keep the yard clean, safe, and free of debris or hazards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Assist drivers and operators with staging and moving materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in general labor, warehouse, or construction work (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
