This role focuses on payment posting tasks, interpreting Explanations of Benefits (EOBs), ensuring accurate documentation in EPIC and delivering excellent customer service. Level 1 specialists work under moderate supervision and handle standard transactions with limited complexity.

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, medical finance, access or pre-service, financial counseling or payment posting experience is required, preferably in a hospital or clinic billing setting.
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare regulations
- General knowledge of hospital billing practices
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
- Excellent customer service skills with demonstrated compassion and empathy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills
