Position Summary
The Nursing Director reports to the hospital's VP of Nursing and has 24-hour responsibility for patient care within the hospital. The Director is responsible for supporting and modeling a professional culture focused on quality, patient safety, employee engagement, fiscal responsibility, and patient experience; and is clinically, administratively, and fiscally accountable for assigned patient care areas. The Director ensures that the mission, vision, and values of the health system are consistently implemented within his/her scope of responsibility. The Director facilitates the delivery of care by setting professional standards in an open, creative, accountable, non-threatening, and supportive environment. This includes empowerment of staff, providing resources, and commitment to trust and respect for all.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field, preferred.
- 5 years progressive leadership experience including nursing experience related to area of specialty required.
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership attributes required.
- Previous experience as a clinical director, preferred.
- RN: Registered Nurse (RN) by the Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN or CCRN-K from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses), preferred.
- Certified Nurse Manager and Leader Certification (CNML) from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), preferred.
