WAREHOUSE AGENT
It is a physically demanding position, requiring regular and continuous lifting to 70 lbs. Position available for operators and non-operators. Individuals who want to thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy physical work will be successful with our Warehouse Team.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Process cargo products for transport to/from aircraft and truck.
- Operate forklifts, tugs, and other equipment used to keep the flow of cargo and mail moving safely and in a timely manner.
- Aiding with customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures as mandated by TSA and airlines.
- Maintain and clean the warehouse and office spaces.
- Weighing and measuring all outbound shipments and completing required paperwork.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work outside in all types of weather and around aircraft and machinery noises.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess/maintain a valid state driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
- Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment administered by the PANYNJ and US Customs and Border Protection
- Must be able to pass all initial training classes and exams.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
- Possess basic computer literacy.
- Previous ramp experience a plus
- Must be able to work in inclement weather.
- Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Excellent Health & Safety awareness
- Lift heavy objects that could reach 70 pounds (32 kilograms)
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodations.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
