What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Quality Control Manager - QCM position at Asafo Construction Consultants LLC?
Required Experience and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
- A minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction.
Certifications Required (must be current):
1. Construction Quality Control Management for Contractors - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
The Construction Quality Control Manager is required to:
- Participate in pre-construction meeting, partnering and construction meetings.
- Maintain quality control using the 3-phases (preparatory, initial, final) of control.
- Inspect all work performed under the contract
- Submittal review as required.
- Maintain submittal log and as-built drawings on site.
- Maintain testing plan and log and ensure all testing is performed per Contract requirements.
- Maintain a deficiency log on site, if required.
- Perform daily Quality Control and Safety Inspections.
- Prepare daily Quality Control Reports and Contractor Production Reports.
- Conduct bi-weekly Quality Control meetings with the Superintendent and Government Team.
