We Have an Immediate Need for Pet Sitters and Overnight Care In Elizabeth and So. Parker
Requirements
- You MUST LIVE in these areas to apply as territories are assigned based upon where you reside also, a short survey follows the application it must be completed
- Over 21 years old
- Able to function as a licensee of As You Wish and will be compensated on a per job basis, this is great supplemental income!
- Able to follow detailed instruction
- Must be comfortable engaging with a wide variety of clients in a professional manner.
- Openly available. Understand animals need constant care regardless of time of day or day of week. We work while others vacation and go to the office! A plus if you can provide overnight/extended stay service
- Able to self-manage with strong time management skills
- Comfortable walking/driving in heat, rain, and snow and must own appropriate apparel (i.e. parka, gloves, scarf, boots, raingear, etc.) to apply for this position.
- Able to commit to work for As You Wish for at least 6 months to apply for this position.
- Passionate about animals
- Have a car, auto insurance and a clean MVR.
- Able to self-manage.
- Able to walk (likely 5-10 miles/day) and handle dogs on the appropriate or designated leash. Dog behavior or training experience a plus!
- Able to administer first aid as necessary during the dog visit. This would include cuts to paws, feet, noses and/or insect bites, etc.(training available)
- Skilled at taking detailed notes and communicating effectively in both written and oral form.
- You must possess the ability to market your business to potential clients and business partners.
- You must have a cell phone preferably with text message capability and also be comfortable using a computer to generate reports and complete schedules
***PHYSICAL DEMANDS***
Activity Level: Heavy – Walk, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, hear and see. Be able to walk up to 10 miles daily. Occasional—Lifting up to 35 lbs. (Lifting dog into and out of vehicle or onto bed if necessary)
Environment:—Outdoors for 95% of the time
*** EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS***
- Completion of Recognized Hands On Pet First Aid/CPR training course.
- As You Wish encourages on-going training in animal related behavior, a professional certification course or attendance at the annual NAPPS Forum
