Position Summary
As a Professional Caregiver you will deliver non-medical personal care and companionship in clients’ homes. Night shift and weekend positions are available. A paid shift differential applies for nights and weekends.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
- Assist with ambulation and transfers as needed
- Prepare meals and provide dietary assistance or meal reminders
- Provide medication reminders (non‑administration) and monitor for changes in client condition
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities
- Report changes in client condition and document care per agency policy
- Arrive on time and communicate schedule/availability honestly and reliably
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (when travel between clients is required)
- Ability to pass a background check and urine drug screen
- Strong communication skills and ability to work respectfully with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
MUST BE ATLEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- CNA, HHA, or equivalent certification/experience in home care or hospice
- Previous experience working with older adults or those with dementia
