The Finance Manager at Arway-Long Grove Confections is a strategic role responsible for delivering financial insights that drive decision-making across the business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role supports budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Marketing. As a key contributor to both day-to-day financial operations and long-range planning, the Finance Manager should bring strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and a proactive mindset to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve financial efficiency and profitability
  • Develop and maintain financial forecast models to support business planning and performance tracking
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to build and manage the company’s multi-year strategic financial plan
  • Communicate financial results clearly across departments and leadership levels
  • Develop tools to more accurately forecast revenue and earnings, evaluate pricing strategies, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Support month-end close processes in collaboration with the accounting team
  • Ensure organized, secure, and compliant financial documentation
  • Leverage financial systems and tools to automate reporting and streamline processes

Operations Finance Support

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production to assess weekly and monthly manufacturing costs, inventory impacts, and capital expenditure needs
  • Partner with Operations to identify efficiency and cost-savings opportunities (value leadership)
  • Build business cases for capital investments with ROI implications to support high-impact decisions

Commercial & Sales Finance

  • Work with Sales and Marketing to evaluate new product innovation, pricing strategies, and margin implications
  • Support profitability analysis by customer, product, and channel, and identify levers for improvement
  • Provide financial guidance on customer-specific proposals and promotional investments

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Business or Finance

• At least 4-6 years' experience in financial analysis, ideally in a consumer products or food manufacturing environment

• Exceptional communication presentation skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent strategic business acumen, financial analysis, and problem-solving capabilities

• Strong working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, resource management and P&L statements

• Proven ability of using discretion with confidential information

• Solution-oriented with analytical thinking skills

• Goal-driven, confident self-starter with a willingness to continually embrace professional development and passion to excel

This full-time position will be required to be onsite at our offices in either Chicago or Buffalo Grove, IL four days per week, with the option to work remote one day per week.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
