Commercial Concrete Estimator

ARW Concrete Contracting is an established commercial concrete contractor serving mostly the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill market since 2012. Our team specializes in high-quality structural concrete construction, including slabs, shear walls, elevated decks, post-tension systems and grade beams. We are seeking an Estimator to take ownership of estimating accuracy and project execution from bid through closeout. This is a senior-level role for someone who understands construction numbers, sequencing, and field realities—and can manage multiple projects without constant oversight.

You will be responsible for accurate takeoffs, pricing, bid strategy, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and cost control, while working closely with ownership, field supervisors, and clients.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accountability and wants to be a key decision-maker in a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with the clients in the area
• Develop initial project schedules and manage submittals and change orders
• Proactively track unit costs, change orders, and job profitability
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing to perform buy out activities
• Analyze blueprints and construction drawings to determine quantities of materials needed, including concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and finishing supplies.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and overhead expenses.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review contracts, scope changes, and project timelines for effective cost management.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in commercial concrete estimating
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, Bluebeam and scheduling software
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Strong understanding of structural elements i.e.: structural slabs, shear walls, grade beams, post tension

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
