Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior framing using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and adherence to schematics and blueprints
- Perform metal building erection tasks and metal stud framing to support diverse architectural designs
- Construct and install custom trim, moldings, cabinetry, and other woodwork to enhance interior aesthetics
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes and ensure project specifications are met
- Operate heavy equipment safely for material handling and site preparation when required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to coordinate activities on-site for seamless project execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in interior carpentry or related construction roles with a strong understanding of framing, trim carpentry, and finishing techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation relevant to carpentry work
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction plans
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with metal building erection, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, stucco application, siding installation, restoration work, and remodeling projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and site procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on-site challenges
