Supplier Project Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing projects, ensuring compliance and quality throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong organizational skills to effectively coordinate between various departments, including supply chain and quality assurance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product timing, quality, capacity, and fulfillment
• Support new product launches by working with suppliers, driving Advanced Planning, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), ensuring compliance with established standards, and key milestones are achieved
• Complete supplier audits to enhance process standardization and waste elimination
• Communicate and coach the supply base Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering departments to drive cost effective improvements to Quality and Manufacturing processes, minimizing waste
• Participate in process validation and equipment qualification activities, ensuring that suppliers systems, processes, and build capabilities meet the design intent of the customer
• Provide leadership during investigations of major problems, disruptions, and/or special projects
• Evaluate supplier data to initiate process improvement opportunities along the supply chain
• Coordinate with internal departments on supplier performance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment

EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
• OR 5 years manufacturing engineering or quality experience.
