Incumbent should be located within the Arvest Four State Footprint: AR, KS, MO, OK. However, this position will ideally be located in Northwest Arkansas. Occasional travel is required.
Position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with additional hours as needed.
SUMMARY: The Automation Opportunity Advisor takes on the challenge of designing, developing, and re-engineering processes with automation tools to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance customer experience. Automation tools leveraged could include robotic process automation, optical character recognition, document understanding, machine learning, and/or process mining. In this role, you will serve as the internal customer's advisor and change agent to transform their business operations with automation. You will be responsible for preparing business process documentation, process flow analysis, technology-enabled process improvements/redesign, requirements definition, data modeling, and detailed functional solution design. This role is ideal for someone who is data-oriented, analytical and has the intellectual curiosity to understand processes within various functions of Arvest.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Partner with Process Improvement Advisors to identify and prioritize key areas of the business where automation solutions can drive significant business benefit. Participate in workshops with business partners to discover automation opportunities. Drive efforts to leverage systematic tools such as process/task mining to identify additional opportunities.
2. With guidance from the Senior Automation Opportunity Advisor, quantify the value and complexity of automation opportunities to aid in prioritization. Work with internal business units to complete automation viability assessments and intake documentation.
3. Collaborate with Process Improvement Advisors to understand and document as-is and future state process designs (fully or partially automated processes). Work with other stakeholders such as Solutions Architects, Data Science, and other partners within Information Technology teams as necessary based on the requirements for each project.
4. Develop Process Design Documents (PDDs) to inform development of automations by technical teams. Prepare future state Solution Design Documents (SDDs) in collaboration with Solutions Architects and Automation/RPA Developers.
5. Maintain and expand knowledge of various automation tools such as robotic process automation, optical character recognition, document understanding, machine learning, and process mining in order to identify the best solutions to achieve operational improvement.
6. Collaborate across project team members to support activities such as software development, test planning, and user acceptance testing with the business unit to ensure that project deliverables and timelines are met according to agreed schedule. Bridge the gap between business stakeholders and automation technology teams to ensure alignment throughout the automation delivery lifecycle.
7. Lead multiple project streams efficiently and diplomatically in a sometimes high-pressure environment.
8. Effectively present recommendations to management with appropriate data supporting the conclusions.
9. Work with team members, business units and leadership on assigned projects to communicate status, manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure top quality service.
10. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent relevant or relevant military experience required.
4 years of relevant experience required, preferably within an automation and/or process improvement role.
1 year of experience drafting technical requirements for current and future state processes required.
Proven ability to lead groups through process mapping and identification of opportunities for continuous improvement required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including influencing skills required.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred or willingness to obtain Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification within one year after hire required.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and Lean along with tools such as Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Customers (SIPOC), Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events preferred.
Process mapping experience with software such as Visio and BiZZdesign required. Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 principles preferred.
Experience redesigning and automating processes with UiPath or comparable robotic process automation and related applications preferred.
Experience working with Agile software development teams preferred.
