Role Description The Dental Treatment Coordinator Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Arvada, CO. This role focuses on guiding patients through their treatment journey, including explaining recommended dental procedures, reviewing options, and presenting detailed treatment plans in a clear, compassionate manner. The consultant will discuss financial arrangements, coordinate insurance benefits, and assist patients in understanding out-of-pocket responsibilities and available financing options. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, ensuring accurate and complete patient records, and collaborating closely with dentists, hygienists, and assistants to support efficient clinical workflows. The role also involves following up with patients on pending treatment, maintaining a high standard of customer service, and supporting a positive, professional office environment.
Qualifications
- Strong treatment planning skills, including the ability to present and explain comprehensive dental treatment plans and options.
- Working knowledge of dental insurance, including verification, benefits coordination, and explanation of coverage and patient responsibility.
- Demonstrated customer service experience, with a focus on empathy, patience, and building long-term patient relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey clinical and financial information clearly and respectfully.
- Familiarity with dental care procedures and terminology, and comfort working in a clinical dental environment.
- Experience with dental practice management software and digital records; proficiency with basic office software (e.g., email, scheduling, spreadsheets).
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a treatment coordinator, financial coordinator, or similar role in a dental or healthcare setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in dental assisting, office administration, or healthcare administration is a plus.
