- Recruit, train, coach, and develop staff.
- Set performance expectations and conduct evaluations.
- Manage employee relations, discipline, and documentation.
- Handle escalated customer and employee issues.
- Deliver ongoing staff training and development.
- Drive branch growth and achievement of sales goals.
- Promote loans, deposits, and other bank products and services.
- Lead business development efforts and customer outreach.
- Coach staff to improve sales performance and customer service.
- Process loan applications and ensure accurate documentation.
- Develop strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Oversee daily branch operations and service delivery.
- Ensure branch and ATM balancing and cash management.
- Approve currency shipments and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Maintain branch facilities, equipment, safety, and security.
- Respond to audits and implement corrective actions.
- Manage branch planning, reporting, and administrative functions.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Administer BSA, OFAC, CIP, and Beneficial Ownership requirements.
- Complete and oversee required compliance and security training.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory and operational reports.
- Maintain security controls and audit readiness.
- Represent the bank in the community and at local events.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Resolve customer concerns and support service excellence.
- Promote the bank's reputation and community partnerships.
Are you the one we need?
If you are, you’ll have these qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or a related field is required.
- Proven record of sales experience required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ progressively responsible experience in bank branch operations or lending. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ previous supervisory or assistant manager experience.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of banking rules and regulations.
- Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and understanding basic math logic.
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
- PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet.
- Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities and meet required deadlines.
- Must possess a service orientation and be willing to sell products and services of the Bank.
- Some local travel, as needed.
- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and use standard office equipment, including, but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (i.e., file boxes).
