Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable
“Owner Operator with a box truck equipped with a lift gate”
For consistent local/regional deliveries.
Requirements:
- 26' box truck with working lift gate
- Valid driver's license
- MC number (if possible)
- Clean driving record
- Insurance (cargo & liability) $50,000
- Professional, punctual, and dependable
- Monday to Friday
- 1 driver with helper
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to pick up, load, transport, and deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including manifests and delivery receipts
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress and any issues encountered
- Provide excellent customer service by handling deliveries professionally and courteously
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- certification with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Knowledge of manual transmission operation preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting heavy items repeatedly throughout the day
- Familiarity with route planning, heavy lifting techniques, and safety standards for commercial driving
