Production Material Handler

Duties

• Safely load, unload, and transport materials using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to support production and shipping needs.
• Cut and prepare material needed for operators in the production process.
• Maintain material inventory.
• Have knowledge how to best calculate material to ensure maximum yield and minimize waste.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and heavy equipment operation protocols
• Handle heavy lifting tasks with mechanical knowledge of lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injuries and ensure safety compliance
• Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets securely, managing materials on the warehouse floor, and ensuring proper placement for easy access

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving processes
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, load & unload machinery, and pallet jacks; certification preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of basic measurements and measuring tools.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
• Prior experience in manufacturing or materials handling environments is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
