Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Visual Arts Instructor to join Arts for All Loudoun's Visual Arts program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual arts and an interest in working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves facilitating 1-2 art classes per week, developing creative and accessible art projects, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages artistic expression while meeting each and every artist at their own ability level.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement art projects that cater to various skill levels and artistic interests.
- Teach a range of visual arts techniques and methods to create artwork that will be displayed and for sale within the community.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment with all necessary materials readily available.
- Collaborate with the Visual Arts Director, as well as any volunteers, to create a cohesive program.
- Participate in any trainings mandated by Arts for All Loudoun board of directors.
Experience
- Experience in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with individuals with disabilities is also preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students of all abilities.
- Organizational skills to record class payment, attendance, etc.
