The Arts Academy of NH is seeking an experienced, passionate and dynamic High School long-term substitute Science Teacher to join our dedicated team, as a long term sub with the possibilty of hire for the 2026-2027 school year. Arts Academy of New Hampshire is a chartered public high school that nurtures creative thinkers, active citizens, and independent learners with a curriculum that integrates the arts and rigorous college preparatory academics.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and guiding students in their academic journey. This role requires a commitment to literacy education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development and use the data to inform instruction.
  • Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and contribute to the overall school community.
  • Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a manner consistent with child development.
  • Communicate with students and their families about class activities and progression of learning.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and participate in ongoing professional development for growth.
  • Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications and meet the learning needs of all students.
  • Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the director.

Experience

  • A Bachelor degree in Math/Education/Science or a related field is required; high school teaching experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and education administration.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90.00 - $120.00 per day
