Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and guiding students in their academic journey. This role requires a commitment to literacy education and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development and use the data to inform instruction.
- Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and contribute to the overall school community.
- Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a manner consistent with child development.
- Communicate with students and their families about class activities and progression of learning.
- Reflect on teaching practices and participate in ongoing professional development for growth.
- Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications and meet the learning needs of all students.
- Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the director.
Experience
- A Bachelor degree in Math/Education/Science or a related field is required; high school teaching experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and education administration.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
