Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing
- Present menus confidently, highlight specials, and upsell menu items including wines, spirits, and cocktails to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure seamless service flow
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including culinary ingredients and wine pairings, to answer guest questions accurately
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring every visitor leaves satisfied
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for sales transactions and reservations management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to upsell effectively by recommending beverages like wine or spirits and promoting special menu items
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for better menu knowledge and teamwork support
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
