Seasonal Host
Overview
We’re looking for an experienced, friendly, and confident Seasonal Host to be the first point of contact for our guests. This role is essential to creating a warm, welcoming experience from the moment guests walk through the door. The ideal candidate has prior restaurant or hospitality experience, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
This is a seasonal position with flexible scheduling and competitive starting pay based on experience.
Pay: $12.50–$15.50 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible hours available
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage wait times and seating flow to ensure smooth service
- Escort guests to tables and maintain organized seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using our POS/reservation system
- Provide menus, answer basic questions, and accommodate special requests when possible
- Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen staff to support efficient service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining room entrance
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and provide accurate information
- Assist with guest concerns in a calm, courteous, and professional manner
- Support the front-of-house team as needed during busy shifts
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess or restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Comfortable working weekends, evenings, and peak service times
- Experience with POS or reservation systems is a plus
- A genuine interest in hospitality and creating great guest experiences
