Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivated Shop Technician with a glass background or equivalent hands-on experience to handle in-house fabrication — measuring, cutting, and assembling glass products — while also assisting with field installations and client coordination.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, comfortable with tools, and eager to grow with a company that values craftsmanship, reliability, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and cut glass to precise specifications
- Assemble glass units, frames, and related hardware
- Handle incoming and outgoing materials; maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Assist with deliveries and occasional on-site installation support
- Take and make calls to coordinate materials, deliveries, and client needs
- Ensure quality control and accuracy in all fabrication work
Qualifications
- Glass experience required — or equivalent experience in construction, glazing, metalwork, or similar hands-on trades
- Strong measuring and basic math skills
- Ability to safely lift and handle glass and related materials
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
Compensation & Trial Period:
A 2–3 week trial period will be conducted at minimum wage to assess skill level, reliability, and ability to perform required tasks.
Pay: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
Overtime: Available for approved field work.
