What are the responsibilities and job description for the Podcast Production Intern (Unpaid) position at Artisans of Safari?
We are looking for a college student intern to help with podcast and video production for Season 2 of Safari ChangeMakers — a mission-driven podcast spotlighting changemakers across Africa who are using safari tourism as a force for good through conservation, community empowerment, and regenerative travel.
Season 1 is already live, and we now have more than a dozen interviews recorded for Season 2. Some were recorded on Zoom, and others were filmed live in Africa. We are looking for help moving these episodes from raw footage to finished, published content.
This is an unpaid internship and can be remote or Los Angeles-based. For the right student, it offers hands-on experience in editing, post-production, storytelling, and digital media workflow.
Students based in Los Angeles may also have access to mentorship from:
Karin Jones — 39 years in safari tourism and storytelling
Bill Jones — 40 years in radio, TV, voiceover, broadcasting, and audio/video editing
This could be a great fit for a student interested in:
• podcasting
• journalism
• broadcasting
• digital media
• video/audio editing
• purpose-driven storytelling
