Role Description
Artisans Group is seeking a talented Designer to add to our growing, multi-disciplined team in Tumwater, WA. In addition to strong technical skills in Revit drafting, SketchUp and Adobe Suites, you should be able to investigate, evaluate and recommend design solutions to best meet project needs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills and experience in building and maintaining client relationships. Candidates should be willing to learn and contribute to the design process as part of a collaborative, nimble team.
This position works out of our Tumwater, WA office and is not remote. Please do not apply if you cannot work in-person in our Tumwater office.
Key Responsibilities
Designer working in all phases of the design process on various building types with the assistance of a Project Architect/Manager.
- Provides professional architectural support in planning and design and liaises with project management, other architects, and consultants to successfully coordinate large complex projects
- Works with limited supervision independently and in a team to apply advanced architectural concepts and designs and develop final deliverables
- Drafts design and construction documents utilizing Revit
- Collaborates with and/or provides direction to colleagues
- Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects, including advancing new or improved techniques and procedures
- Coordinates with the director and department head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies
- Works to implement and improve office graphic standards
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships
- Mentor team members to ensure their professional growth
Required Skills and Abilities
- 5 years professional experience and professional degree in architecture required, 10 years preferred
- Revit expertise is required
- Working in-person from our Tumwater Office is required
- Experience in all phases of design
- Working knowledge of construction roles and responsibilities for various delivery methods
- Understanding of liabilities, risks, and responsibilities related to professional practice
- Must be an experienced drafter
- Must be proficient in BlueBeam and Sketchup
- Some CAD manager experience is helpful
- Ability to understand and execute complicated construction detailing

- Sustainable design experience and/or certifications a plus
- If licensed outside of WA, we will assist in the Reciprocal License process
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, plus benefits and bonuses!
