What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at Artisan Talent?
A nationally recognized nonprofit working to end childhood hunger in the U.S. is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to help shape and run their social presence at a critical moment. Working alongside the agency team supporting this cause-driven brand, you'll co-develop strategy, own publishing across channels, and produce original content tied to advocacy campaigns, fundraising pushes, and key awareness moments. This isn't a production-only seat — they want a strategic collaborator who can shape the work, not just push it live. Nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
You Will:
- Co-develop and execute a social media strategy that lifts brand awareness, drives engagement, and advances the mission
- Own the scheduling and direct publishing of all approved content across all social channels, with care for optimal timing and formatting
- Produce high-quality, original content tailored for each social platform
- Build and manage a dynamic content calendar aligned with advocacy campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and key awareness days
You Have:
- Proven social media management experience, ideally inside nonprofit or cause-driven work
- Strategic mindset — comfortable shaping the brief, not just executing it
- Strong collaborator with experience working inside an agency–client structure
- Sharp content instincts across platforms, with the craft to produce as well as plan
- Reliable availability during U.S. business hours
