About Us
Artisan Stays manages luxury vacation rental homes throughout the Hudson Valley. We're looking for a dependable, proactive local team member to help care for our Cornwallville property and ensure it remains in excellent condition for our guests.
This is a part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving small problems before they become big ones, and taking pride in keeping a property running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform routine hot tub inspections and maintain proper water chemistry
- Refill hot tub chemicals and report any issues
- Set out and bring in trash and recycling bins on scheduled collection days
- Perform periodic property walkthroughs between guest stays
- Complete small handyman repairs around the property
- Bring packages inside and assist with occasional property errands
- Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with our operations team
- Change light bulbs, tighten hardware, replace batteries, and complete other minor maintenance tasks
- Assist with occasional guest-related requests as needed
Qualifications
- Must live within approximately 20 minutes of Cornwallville, NY 12418
- Reliable transportation
- Own a basic set of power tools for minor repairs
- Comfortable using a smartphone to communicate, complete checklists, and send photos
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Previous handyman, maintenance, property management, landscaping, or similar experience is preferred
- Experience maintaining hot tubs or pools is a plus, but not required—we will provide training
Schedule & Availability
This is an as-needed, part-time position, averaging up to approximately 5 hours per week, depending on the property's needs.
Because this position supports an active vacation rental, we're looking for someone who lives nearby and is generally available to respond within a reasonable timeframe when issues arise. Some weeks may only require routine hot tub checks or trash service, while others may involve additional maintenance tasks, property walkthroughs, or guest-related requests.
