What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Architect position at Artisan Management LLC?
Who We Are
Artisan Studios, a leading digital innovation consultancy, crafts elegant digital solutions that accelerate success for our clients. We are a team of talented, compassionate, and inclusive professionals who share a passion for technology and an unwavering drive to grow. Our work spans from application and infrastructure modernization to cloud migration and custom end-to-end product development.
We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team of Artisans!
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales technical strategy for prospective and current customers. You will serve as the primary technical voice in client engagements, translating complex business challenges into compelling, cloud-native solutions built on AWS.
This role sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer success. You will work directly with our VP of Delivery, Innovation, and Solutions to build credibility, win deals, and ensure a smooth handoff to implementation teams. Success in this role is measured by technical win rates, customer confidence, and the quality of solutions architectured during the sales cycle.
Artisan Studios has built The Atelier, a proprietary AI orchestration platform that uses coordinated fleets of specialized agents to accelerate how our teams research, scope, and architect solutions. Engagements that once required sequential effort now run in parallel, with purpose-built agents handling deep domain analysis, compliance review, infrastructure design, and more, simultaneously. The right candidate will be fluent in this environment, ready to leverage it from day one, and motivated to make it better.
Key responsibilitiesPre-Sales and Solution Design
Own the technical win: serve as the lead Solutions Architect on active opportunities from first qualified call through contract
Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures tailored to client requirements
Develop solution documentation including architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and Statements of Work
Build and deliver rapid prototypes or proof-of-concept environments to validate proposed approaches
Conduct discovery workshops with client stakeholders to surface requirements, constraints, and success criteria
Client Engagement and Communication
Present technical recommendations to audiences ranging from developers to C-suite executives
Build trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders throughout the sales cycle
Respond to RFPs and RFIs with technically accurate, differentiated responses
Represent Artisan Studios at AWS partner events, industry conferences, and client on-sites (up to 25% travel)
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with delivery, innovation, and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and implementable
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, repeatable assets, and reusable solution patterns
Evaluate emerging AWS services and GenAI capabilities for applicability to client use cases
Mentor junior architects and contribute to the technical community of practice
The ideal candidate is a natural communicator and problem-solver who gets genuinely excited about new technology. They are equally at home whiteboarding an architecture with a CTO and joining a discovery call with a VP of Operations. They don’t wait to be told what to build: they bring opinions, push thinking, and take pride in craftsmanship.
You’ll thrive at Artisan if you:
Move fast and remain comfortable with ambiguity
Take ownership of outcomes, not just activities
Actively listen before architecting: you start with the problem, not the solution
Bring both technical rigor and strategic thinking to every engagement
Are energized by working across diverse teams and client environments
