Primary: Safety Programs & Administration

  • Administer and maintain company safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA and state agencies)
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain OSHA logs (300, 300A, 301) and required regulatory reporting
  • Track and report key safety metrics (TRIR, DART, incident trends, leading indicators)
  • Develop and support plant safety training
  • Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventory
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and drills
  • Lead safety committee meetings and follow up on action items
  • Partner with operations and maintenance teams to implement risk-reduction initiatives
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claim documentation and follow-up

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • 2–5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Experience with OSHA compliance and recordkeeping required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Ability to conduct investigations and perform root cause analysis
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Strong communication and training facilitation skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
