Artisan Council is seeking an Assistant Editor with experience in social-first video editing and digital content production. This role is ideal for a social-native creative who actively engages with TikTok and Instagram, understands evolving editing trends, and is excited to contribute to high-impact digital campaigns.
You will support the Creative Team in producing compelling video and motion content, editing and optimizing assets for social platforms, and assisting with post-production workflows from concept through delivery. Reporting to the Creative Director, with day-to-day guidance from the Senior Producer, you will be a collaborative, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a feedback-driven environment.
The Assistant Editor will work across campaigns for beauty, skincare, fragrance, food, and technology clients, contributing to creative execution while continuing to grow technical, storytelling, and platform-specific expertise.

What will you be responsible for?
- Work with the Creative Team to create successful video content, supporting post-production needs across assigned projects
- Edit, color correct, sound mix, and export final video deliverables with guidance as needed
- Assist in implementing video edits with external production and post-production partners
- Act as a point person for internal post-production communication on assigned video projects
- Export and re-format video assets into a wide variety of ratios and compression formats for social and digital platforms
- Spot and execute on editing trends for innovative TikTok and Instagram Reels content
- Assist the Art Director in delivering video assets and optimizing edited content for social performance
- Organize and manage production assets, ensuring proper file naming, versioning, and quality control
- Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding timelines, revisions, and deliverables
- Contribute ideas, references, and creative solutions during brainstorms and project development
- Support pitch decks, campaign reports, case studies, and client presentations
- Contribute to Artisan Council’s social channels by supporting asset creation and sharing campaign highlights
- Participate in Artisan Council’s #ACGivesBack initiative by supporting annual creative training for selected nonprofits
What kind of skills should you have?

- 1–3 years of experience in video editing, motion, or digital content production
- Experience working with beauty, skincare, lifestyle, or consumer brands
- Strong video editing skills, with experience in Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Proven experience with sound editing, including music tracking and sound effects
- Ability to take multiple content inputs and shape them into a cohesive, engaging video that hooks the viewer
- Strong understanding of social media storytelling and platform-specific best practices
- Experience exporting and optimizing content for web and social platforms
- Familiarity with filming or assisting on shoots is a plus
- Strong visual eye with incredible attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with art directors and external partners
- Creative thinker with a passion for trends, storytelling, and brand-building
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video and motion work, from small projects to larger campaigns
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000
Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range.
