Our leadership team has a true connection to seniors and their families — and is dedicated to helping others grow and thrive.Solera’s Core Values:CompassionCommitmentCommunicationCreativityWe flat out LOVE what we do — and if our story resonates with you, we want to meet you!Sous Chef ResponsibilitiesThe Sous Chef provides full-scope, hands-on production cooking in our community culinary program and is responsible for ensuring excellence in food quality, service, and cleanliness.Exemplify high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organizationEnsure food quality, appearance, and presentation always meet standardsPrepare and serve meals in compliance with nutritional/dietary criteria and physician ordersDemonstrate speed, accuracy, and efficiency in cookingRegularly visit residents to evaluate food service and make improvements as neededEmbrace a culture of hospitality — deliver excellent customer service to residents, guests, and coworkersPlan, prepare, and present meals for residents, activities, and special eventsMaintain compliance with local codes and policies for food safety and storageInspect storage areas and ensure supply controlComplete administrative duties such as reports and inventory trackingMaintain clean and orderly dining areasObtain and maintain ServSafe/Food Handler’s PermitFoster teamwork and positive interactions across departmentsSupport a professional image through dress and conductPerform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Culinary Experience.Sous Chef QualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant, senior living, or equivalent cooking environment.Ability to follow approved, standardized recipes and menus for regular and therapeutic diets.Ability to make independent decisions without supervision.Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, family members, team members, and the public.Ability to make decisions in stressful situations.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to direct team members effectively.Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.Demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of older adults and their families.Required to receive the annual Flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
