Our office location is Matawan, New Jersey. The position is Monday-Thursday On-Site and Friday Work from Home

Job Description:
The Assistant Designer is responsible for assisting the creative printed designs and product development for textile & decor products, such as bedding, sheets, blankets, and shower curtains, for various retailers ranging from Off-Price Retailers to Fashion Market. The person will execute the development of printed and product presentations by working with internal departments (Product Development / Production) from concept to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Translate concept direction into innovative prints and products that satisfy our customer needs, for all home textile categories: sheets, comforters, throws, shower, etc.
- Creating visually attractive products presentations that represent final product, in AI or Adobe Suite
- Support team in the creation of factory-ready techpacks and production files
- Support team with color dip and strikeoff approvals and developments
- Communicate with production and product development teams to ensure designs match technical specifications, with the support of a manager
- Maintain print and pattern archives both digitally and physically
- Creating presentation ready files for customer meetings
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Illustration, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field
- 0-3 years of experience in designing surface printed designs
- Knowledge of Photoshop Illustrator
- Use of AI, Chat GPT, or Claude for Design
- Attention to detail a must
- Knowledge creating Development & Production Tech Packs to China Factories
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and follow through on all projects
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, scheduling conflicts, revisions, and technical challenges effectively
