JOB BRIEF: This is a part-time Business Operations position that supports the Controller and CFO of Artis Construction.
COMPENSATION: Compensation package includes:

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of general accounting experience
· Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
· Proficient with basic functionality of Microsoft Excel and Word
· Good communicator – personable, organized and detail oriented
· Technically adept with the ability and willingness to quickly learn new systems
· Associate’s Degree or Higher preferred
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: A typical day in the life of would likely include the following:
-Maintain Accounts Payable
o Monitor accounting email and process invoices/receipts
o Monitor various online credit accounts and process invoices/receipts
o Monitor Credit Card and Bank accounts and enter operating expenses into Quickbooks
-Assist with compiling weekly AP and AR reports
-Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
-Reconcile monthly credit card and bank account statements
-Assist with collecting or updating necessary tax and insurance documents for subcontractors
-Assist Project Managers in the creation of subcontractor contracts
-Push and process weekly time entries from Buildertrend to Quickbooks
-Assist with Payroll processing as needed
-Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis for Management
-Provide support and backup for Controller when needed
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: This position involves being at a desk and extended use of a computer and typing are required.
TIME COMMITMENT: This position is a remote/hybrid part-time (20-25 hours per week) position. Employee must be able to communicate clearly effectively about schedules and deadlines. There will be in-person training for a few weeks and occasional in-person meetings at the North Charleston office. Although it is a mostly remote position, we are seeking someone based in Charleston, SC or the surrounding area.
