Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager to assist in all aspects of our day-to-day business operations. This role is critical to fostering a positive, productive workplace and ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.The Operations Manager will have oversight of job scheduling, customer relations, and personnel management of field employees in his/her assigned yard,playing a key role in shaping a culture of safety, accountability, and mutual respect.

This position is ideal for someone who is both strategic and hands-on, with a passion for supporting people and driving organizational success.

The Operations Manager is expected to be fully present in the field to support staff, collaborate with leadership, and maintain day-to-day functions.

Responsibilities:

• Champion a respectful, inclusive, and safety-driven workplace culture.
• Provide day-to-day operations management for Artio field employees in assigned yard, including the following:
• Completing the daily schedule for all crew locations.
• Understanding the scope of work being performed for all Artio customers.
• Having the knowledge of the start and end times for all Artio jobs in assigned yard, including weekend and storm work.
• Uphold all quality assurance & quality control standards for all Artio safety policies and procedures including the following:
• Conducting regular in-person visits for job zone inspections.
• Providing employees with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to be worn on job sites.
• Participating in monthly safety meetings.
• Documenting and reporting workplace injuries to the Director of Safety to begin the worker’s compensation process.
• Reporting any additional safety concerns to the Director of Safety.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for any customer issues that may arise on job sites, providing timely and innovative solutions; report any issues or concerns to the Director of Operations as needed.
• Answer all emergency calls and dispatch crews as needed.
• Provide oversight for all field employees in assigned yard, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and termination.
• Periodically review fleet inventory in assigned yard for current and upcoming projects; report any vehicle or equipment issues to the Fleet Coordinator.
• Communicate with all members of Artio executive leadership to provide regular updates on field operations.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for all flaggers in assigned yard; report any issues or concerns to the Director of Operations and/or Human Resources as needed.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Partner with payroll team to ensure timely and accurate submissions, including auditing timesheets, administrative time, and providing approvals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of traffic control experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of field management experience within the construction industry.
• Must have a current & valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to drive a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) required.
• TCC & ATSSA certifications required, or ability to obtain within three (3) months of employment.
• Must have 24/7 on-call availability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
