Assembly/Robotic Setup Operator– 1st Shift
General Description:
Capable of performing assembly functions using various types of resistance weld guns. Exhibits the understanding of Robotic function as in welding. In addition, the Assembler will be expected to assist with change over and other assembly activity when required. The assembler shall also be required to perform routine repairs when necessary. The Assembler Robotic Setup Operation reports to the Assembly Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Respectfully communicates with team members and other support groups
- Reads and understands quality expectations and ensures necessary documentation is completed properly
- Completes production documentation accurately
- Maintains and organized and tidy work place free of debris and trip hazards
- Assembling of designated panels to production standards and specifications
- Uses process sheets to set up and achieve first piece approval of set up processes
- Touch-up programming of robotic welding, riveting, and/or hemming robotics to achieve first piece approval
- Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to make repeated hand, arm and shoulder motions
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Forklift Operator’s license if recommended
Job Location:
Performed inside of the plant.
Equipment Used:
Spot welding guns, Robotic welder, testing equipment, hand tools, protective gloves, arm guards, earplugs and safety glasses. Electric or gas forklift if required.
