Duties
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale system accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
- Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits of merchandise
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation and product availability
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking stock levels, and assisting with inventory counts
- Use effective phone etiquette to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, or direct calls appropriately
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead by example and support team members
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish are highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and sales calculations
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales strategies preferred
