Position Title: Elementary Classroom Teacher - Grade 4 (2026-2027 SY)

Position Summary:
The Classroom Teacher for Grade 4 is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment. The Classroom Teacher will implement established lesson plans, follow district curriculum, and support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement daily lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Deliver instruction in core academic areas, including literacy and mathematics.
- Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Use effective classroom management strategies consistent with school expectations.
- Assess student learning through assignments, observations, and formative assessments.
- Provide feedback to students to support academic growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and English Learners, in collaboration with support staff.
- Communicate professionally with families, colleagues, and administrators as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance and student work.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as appropriate.
- Collaborate with grade-level colleagues and specialists to support student learning.
Qualifications:
- Massachusetts DESE licensure preferred (Elementary Education Grades 1-6).
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established plans while adapting instruction as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
- Elementary school classroom setting.
- Requires standing, walking, and engaging actively with students throughout the school day.
Length of Assignment:
2026-2027 School Year
