Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, dependable and detail-oriented Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) to join our busy multi-provider practice laboratory. The role is responsible for performing accurate and timely laboratory testing, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and supporting clinical teams with reliable results to aid in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
· Conduct Laboratory Tests: Perform complex tests on blood, urine, body fluids and other specimens to support diagnosis and treatment in areas of hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology and urinalysis.
· Specimen Collection: Ensure proper specimen collection, labeling, processing, and storage as well as support overall workflow in busy laboratory settings.
· Analyze Results: Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
· Maintain Equipment: Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and functionality of all laboratory instruments; troubleshoot as needed.
· Quality Control: Follow all safety, quality control, CLIA/COLA standards, and regulatory protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
· Collaboration: Work closely with providers, medical assistants, and laboratory staff to support efficient patient care.
· Documentation: Maintain precise records of tests performed, accurate logs, records, results obtained, and other relevant patient information and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field (Associate degree acceptable for MLT).
· Certification from a recognized body preferred (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
· Proficiency with laboratory instruments, procedures, and protocols.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate results.
· Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams.
· Ability to work efficiently in a busy multi-provider laboratory.

Supervision · Reports directly to the Laboratory Manager and senior Medical Technologist.
Physical Requirements · Frequent standing, walking, bending, and full range of motion. · Good eye–hand coordination and manual dexterity. · Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal color perception. · Ability to hear alarms, analyzer alerts, and phone communications. · Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. · Must be able to lift/carry items up to 50 lbs.
