About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing rheumatology practice in Brick, NJ. Position Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with board-certified rheumatologists to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions. The role includes consultations and follow-up visits, with opportunities for procedural involvement and infusion management depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, gout, vasculitis, and osteoporosis
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage DMARDs, biologics, and other specialty medications
• Monitor disease activity, medication efficacy, and side effects
• Arthrocentesis of joints.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Provide patient education regarding chronic disease management and medication compliance
• Document accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement and practice growth initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of New Jersey
• Active DEA registration
• Board certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities
Preferred:
• Prior experience in rheumatology, autoimmune disease management, or internal medicine
• Experience with biologic therapy management
• Comfort with chronic disease management models
• Procedural experience (joint injections)

Schedule
• Full-time preferred (4 workdays per week between Monday–Friday)
• No hospital call
• Limited or shared call (if applicable)
