Clinical Manager – Rheumatology Practice

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Arthritis Clinic of Central Texas is a small, patient-focused rheumatology practice in San Marcos seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Manager to lead and support our clinical team. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong clinical knowledge, operational skills, and experience in a specialty outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure efficient patient flow
- Supervise and support clinical staff (LVNs, MAs, front office, billing)
- Manage phone triage workflows and patient messaging
- Oversee prior authorizations for biologic and specialty medications
- Ensure proper administration and tracking of in-office injections
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate closely with providers to optimize workflows and patient care
- Assist clinically as needed (rooming, vitals, injections, training staff)
Qualifications:
- Clinical background required (MA, LVN, or RN)
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in a specialty practice (rheumatology preferred)
- Strong understanding of biologic medications and prior authorization processes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Preferred (Not Required):
- Rheumatology experience
- Experience managing patient messaging and triage protocols
- Experience training and onboarding clinical staff & administrative staff
