What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at Arthritis and Rheumatology Consultants?
We are currently seeking an Intake and Scheduling Coordinator for our fast-paced, teamwork-oriented Edina and Maple Grove Offices! This position is full time in our Edina office.
Pay ranges from $18-$21 based on experience.
In this role, you will be on the front line of assisting patients and scheduling appointments. You will be responsible for greeting patients in a friendly, welcoming, and timely manner; schedule appointments for all of our locations, verify demographic information, other duties include the following:
- Accurately schedule and educate patients on appropriate services
- Effectively triage requests and communicate with necessary departments
- Verify and update patient demographic information as needed
- Follow all office and scheduling policies and procedures
- Locate and interpret documentation in electronic patient charts
- Handle patient complaints and concerns, and escalate to the Management Team/Clinic Office Managers when appropriate
- Promptly complete other duties as assigned by the Management Team
- Teamwork attitude with all staff and patients
- Keep office space orderly
- Attend mandatory training
- Assist with shift coverage in the event of staff shortage
- Commit to position for minimum of 1 year

- Customer service skills – an empathetic, active listener, who has strong follow through skills
- De-escalation – at times, Intake and Scheduling Coordinators will take calls from individuals in a crisis of some kind, the ability to utilize de-escalation skills in those situations is key
- Critical thinking skills – the ability to think creatively, problem solve, and work independently
Requirements:

- High School Diploma required

Hours (please ensure that you can work the listed shift):
- Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
- Occasional Friday 7:30 am - 1:30 pm
