Position Summary:
ARCK is looking for a full-time medical assistant to join our team! This position helps support our growing 10-provider medical group. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, providing exceptional patient care. Experience in a specialty medical practice and certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (MA) is preferred.
Schedule: The typical work hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12:30pm. No on-call or weekends!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient Liaison: Assist patients in feeling at ease by addressing their concerns, answering phone calls/portal messages, and responding to patient requests in a timely manner.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for provider examinations by rooming, obtaining vital signs, verifying patient information, conducting patient interviews, and accurately recording medical histories.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate care with outside providers promptly and efficiently.
- Order Transmission: Transmit physician’s orders and complete basic diagnostic and procedural coding.
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, or subcutaneous injections (e.g., vaccinations/immunizations), under the direction of a licensed provider.
- Clinic Maintenance: Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Confidentiality Compliance: Safeguard patient information by completing and maintaining medical records in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Flexibility: Float as needed between the East and West offices

Education, Experience, and License Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology, IM/SQ injection practices, and infection control protocols.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role (specialty medical practice experience preferred).
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred but not required.
