Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide specialized nutrition counseling, including weight management, disease-specific diets, and long-term care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to evaluate diagnostic results and adjust nutrition interventions accordingly.
- Supervise dietary department staff, offering guidance on best practices for tube feeding, dietary modifications, and patient education.
- Implement health coaching techniques to motivate patients toward healthier lifestyle choices and improved nutritional habits.
- Manage the preparation of diet orders within electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor patient progress and modify nutrition plans as needed to meet evolving health requirements.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics pertinent to acute care, geriatrics, and chronic disease management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) is required.
- Proven experience in clinical nutrition with a focus on hospital or long-term care environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health conditions.
- Experience supervising dietary staff and managing care plans within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and care coordination purposes.
- Expertise in tube feeding protocols, diagnostic evaluation, and dietary modifications for diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of weight loss programs, geriatrics, acute care practices, and dietary department operations.
