Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with frequent inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and associated standards such as OSHA, EPA, ANSI & NFPA.
- Assist developing and delivering employee safety training.
- Participate in incident investigations and help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Involvement in the creation and maintenance of company safety teams.
- Assist with hazard analysis.
- Maintain EHS records, databases, permits, and regulatory documentation.
- Support hazardous, universal, biomedical waste management, chemical inventory, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) administration.
- Assist with environmental compliance activities, including waste and spill prevention programs.
- Assist in maintaining hazardous material storage areas and environmental compliance.
- Must have flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work.
- Travel occasionally both local and abroad as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college / university required.
- Degree in occupational safety, health, or closely related field preferred.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety, manufacturing, laboratory, or a related technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- Ability to develop knowledge and skills necessary to interpret regulations, permits, and other technical information through training and practical experience.
- Able to attend off-site training courses as necessary.
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
