The Human Resources Department is currently hiring for a Human Resources Assistant at the Pendleton, SC manufacturing plant. The Human Resources Assistant will support HR in administrative and clerical tasks, focusing on file management, employee lifecycle administration, and data management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process new hire, reinstatement, and rehire actions in SAP.
  • Track and review all photo/video consent forms in system; contact marketing when appropriate.
  • Finalize form I-9’s.
  • E-Verify new hires.
  • Audit all new hire and rehire actions in SAP.
  • Create new hire HR e-files.
  • Maintain current HR files.
  • Audit and update all employee I-9 forms, including reverifications and legal name changes.
  • Assist with immigration changes affecting Arthrex employees’ work authorization.
  • Process all termination actions in SAP.
  • Process data entry changes in SAP.
  • Maintain onsite communications.
  • Ensure proper management and assignment of site lockers.
  • Oversee the ordering and upkeep of HR materials and supplies.
  • Perform administrative support tasks related to Human Resources programs/projects as required.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-year administrative experience preferred.
  • 1-year of human resources experience or HR course work preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Ability to effectively manage one’s time and handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and possess a sense of urgency to support internal/external customer needs.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to learn new procedures and systems quickly.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong clerical and computer skills, including intermediate skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or other HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Prior experience with E-Verify compliance is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and exercise good judgment and reasoning required.

Language and Communication Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and apply English language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.
  • Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively in English to other team members and management.
  • Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures in English.
