We currently have an opening in Stuart, FL for a Concrete Pump Operator building shell home structures from concrete and concrete blocks.
Job Summary:
The Concrete Pumper is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a concrete pump truck at construction sites. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining the pump to ensure the accurate placement of concrete according to project specifications. The Concrete Pumper works closely with site supervisors, concrete finishers, and truck drivers to coordinate concrete delivery and placement, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and control the concrete pump truck to direct concrete into specified areas on-site.
Inspect and prepare work sites for pumping operations, including setting up hoses, outriggers, and stabilizing the pump.
Communicate with concrete drivers, site foremen, and crew members to ensure timely and precise delivery of concrete.
Perform daily inspections, clean, and maintain the concrete pump, boom, and related equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent downtime.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues or blockages during pumping operations.
Maintain accurate logs of pump operations, maintenance records, and delivery details as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience operating concrete pumps or similar heavy equipment.
Knowledge of concrete pumping techniques, mix properties, and flow dynamics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work environment with exposure to dust, noise, and weather elements.
Requires standing, bending, and manual handling for extended periods.
May involve early morning, late evening, or weekend work depending on project schedules.
