What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Artemis?
We're partnered with a third-party logistics provider on two Warehouse Supervisor openings at what is, by a wide margin, the largest and most complex site in their entire network. 840,000 square feet in San Bernardino, multi-client, and running at full stride.
Eighteen months ago, a third of this building sat empty. Today it's full, inventory is turning in roughly ten days, and they're adding shifts to keep pace. That's the kind of trajectory you want to attach yourself to.
What makes this different
Three warehouse management systems running simultaneously. Multiple demanding retail and consumer clients under one roof. Real seasonality that shifts across the year: cooling product in the summer, consumer electronics through the holidays, apparel in the winter. There is no quiet quarter here where you're just keeping the lights on.
For a supervisor, that variety is the whole point. You'll learn several client operations at once instead of one, and you'll come out of it with a broader skill set than almost any single-client building can give you.
What you'll own
You'll run a shift and a floor team of 20-plus associates and leads. Receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and inventory control all sit under you. You'll drive productivity and accuracy metrics, coach and develop your team, keep safety non-negotiable, and work directly with client representatives who are in the building and paying attention. It's a hands-on, high-velocity operation, and the people who thrive here are the ones who like being where the work actually happens.
Two shifts available
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Swing shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
What you bring
Three or more years leading people in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Real floor leadership, ideally 20 or more associates and leads. Solid command of core DC functions and comfort with WMS platforms and RF scanning. A track record in a fast, metrics-driven building. And the communication skills to be effective in front of clients, because this is a customer-facing site.
Helpful but not required: 3PL or retail distribution background, material handling equipment certification or train-the-trainer experience, bilingual English/Spanish, and exposure to budgets and KPI reporting.
