Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to support a multi-phase initiative focused on improving data quality, inventory visibility, and operational accuracy across our ERP. This role will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to clean and standardize core data, streamline end-to-end inventory processes, and develop reporting tools that enhance decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data cleanup efforts for supply chain and inventory modules within the ERP, including item master, BOMs, routings, inventory records, supplier data, and transaction history.
- Profile, validate, and normalize supply chain data to improve accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business rules.
- Identify root causes of data issues and recommend changes to processes, controls, and master data governance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define data standards, naming conventions, units of measure, and inventory attributes.
- Map and document end-to-end supply chain data flows across procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution.
- Build and maintain dashboards that track end-to-end inventory movements, on-hand balances, transaction accuracy, lead times, aging, and supply-demand alignment.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- Support inventory accuracy initiatives, including cycle count programs, reconciliation, transaction audits, and root-cause analysis.
- Participate in ERP configuration reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing inventory and supply chain modules.
- Provide training, SOPs, and guidance to business users on master data processes and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, ERP consulting, or inventory optimization.
- Strong understanding of ERP supply chain modules (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with data cleanup, master data management, and data governance.
- Ability to interpret and analyze inventory, procurement, and production data.
- Proficiency in reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or complex supply chain environments a plus.
Preferred Skills
- SQL or data querying experience.
- Knowledge of ETL workflows, data migration, or cutover planning.
- Familiarity with cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory control methodologies.
- Lean / Six Sigma background helpful but not required.
