What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Supply Chain Manager position at Artemis?
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Global Supply Chain Manager who understands the flow of parts through a supply chain ecosystem and comes from a fast-scaling manufacturing environment. This role owns the full supply chain—from sourcing components and managing suppliers to building BOMs, scaling fulfillment operations, and resolving issues that arise in a hyper-growth setting. You must be comfortable building structure where none exists, diagnosing problems quickly, and implementing solutions that support rapid scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end global supply chain operations: sourcing, procurement, planning, fulfillment, logistics, and supplier management.
- Source and procure mechanical/electronic/precision components; negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements.
- Build, manage, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) across multiple products and versions.
- Establish and oversee stage-gate processes for new product introductions and scaling phases.
- Analyze part-level flows through the entire ecosystem—contract manufacturers, sub-assembly, warehousing, logistics, and customer delivery.
- Identify bottlenecks, operational risks, and systemic issues; drive cross-functional root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Develop and refine supply chain models for scaling production, including demand planning, inventory strategy, and supplier capacity.
- Implement processes, tools, and reporting that bring clarity, accuracy, and predictability to the supply chain.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance on material readiness, cost implications, and production schedules.
- Manage supplier performance globally, ensuring reliability, quality, and consistent delivery in a high-growth environment.
- Support ERP setup and optimization related to procurement, inventory, PO workflows, and material movement.
Qualifications
- 7 years in supply chain, procurement, or operations roles within manufacturing (components, hardware, electronics, automotive, aerospace, or related).
- Experience in hyper-growth, early-stage, or scaling environments—comfortable building processes from scratch.
- Strong understanding of part-level procurement, material flow, inventory control, and supply chain modeling.
- Deep knowledge of BOM structures, change management, and engineering collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues early, troubleshoot complex supply chain problems, and implement durable solutions.
- Experience with stage-gate processes and NPI (New Product Introduction) cycles.
- Proficient with ERP systems and procurement workflows.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work across engineering, operations, and finance to drive alignment.
- Global supplier management experience strongly preferred.
